Day 20: A Time for Celebration
So today a few of my grandpa's friends threw a little luncheon party to celebrate his 92nd birthday. It was actually a lot of fun and my dad was able to make it to surprise my grandpa as well! It was a blast and I had some really good conversations with a few of his friends.
I wasn't sure how it would go initially, just because everyone who was there was... more experienced than I, let's just say. But I actually had a really good time, so I learned a lesson today I guess! I learned that sometimes things that are very enjoyable don't appear that way at first. I'm going to be much more willing to try new things now (not that I was totally opposed to it to begin with).
To wrap up I just wanted to wish my grandpa well, although he may not see this. Regardless, I just want to say I love you Pa and I am so glad I was given the opportunity to spend so much time with you over the past couple months. They have flown by, and I have learned so much about you, your life, and just how life works in general. Happy birthday Pa! I look forward to celebrating the next one!
