The Basics of: Yesware
Yesware is a program designed to help you make the most of your email. It provides email tracking so you know when your email has been opened, activity tracking so you can record how many emails you send in various categories (cold emails, follow-up, etc), and even some templates to get you started on an email campaign or just to check in with a client!
Let's start at the beginning. When you sign up for an account, you can add an extension to your browser which adds a hotbar to your Gmail account that looks something like this.
This is how you know it's working properly. Once you've done that, to send a tracked email all you have to do is click "Compose" and you'll notice the bottom of the compose window looks a little different. It will have a few extra buttons that we are about to go over. Here's a picture
The Track button simply means you'll get a notification when your email is opened. CRM sends the email to your CRM as well to keep on record. Set Reminder is a way of reminding yourself to follow up with another email at a later date if they don't reply before then. Send Bookable Appointment Times allows you to input times for a meeting or video call of which they can then select the one that works best for them. And Templates leads us to our next topic.
Templates are simple outlines you can use to craft an email based on the reason for your email. They have a couple of categories with ready-made templates already including Cold Email, Follow-Up, Keeping in Touch, and (my personal favorite simply because of the name) Break-Up. Something about using "Break-Up" in a business setting is just funny to me. Keep in mind these are very simple outlines and not something you can copy and paste and be done. They just give you an idea for how you can write your email depending on what you'd like to say. You can edit these pre-made templates or you can create your own to make them copy-pastable in order to speed up the mass email process.
Back to the topic of email tracking, here is an image of the Tracking Report just to give you an idea of how it looks. Remember I'm on a trial right now, so I don't have a ton of tracking to report ;)
To conclude, you can sign up for a 30 day trial just to get started and see how you like it. If you decide to stick with the program they have a few different packages to choose from ranging from $12/user/month for the Pro package to $55/user/month for the Enterprise package.
