Today was another driving day for me and my dad. We were both pretty exhausted from the weekend so we didn't have much deep conversation like on the way down. It was a long weekend, and it had its ups and downs, but what I was reminded of on the drive back was that my family (no matter how much we piss each other off) will always be there for me. We're in this for the long haul and there are few people outside of my family that I can say the same about. It kinda brought me a peace (so much so that I fell asleep) but it was comforting to know that there are people in my life that won't phase out at some point. Right now my life is going through a lot of changes and I've had many people phase out over the past couple months. It was good to be reminded that I have a constant in my family, even though we may get on each other's nerves sometimes (ok a lot of the time).
