Day 1: The Future and Friendship
Today I start the 30 day blogging challenge.
I'm not quite sure how to start off so I'm going to talk about the past couple weeks and how I feel they have affected me. As I mentioned in my last post I have been caretaking for my grandfather since January. This opportunity has given me a lot of time to think about the future and I have decided that is a scary thing. The future is uncertain and personally my imagination can run far too wild when thinking about it. However, I just got back from a visit with some friends from my old school and it has shown me that one thing is certain. When you have a small group of close friends that are there for you no matter what and make you come alive, you don't need to be afraid of the future.
Proverbs 18:24 says "a man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
I have found those friends who stick closer than a brother (one of them happens to BE my brother) and that is something I will always be grateful for.
